Mazda, Mitsubishi and Subaru recall over 715,000 vehicles

Japanese automakers Mazda Motor Corp., Mitsubishi Motors Corp. and Subaru, unit of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., are recalling more than 715,000 vehicles over faulty airbag inflators, Paultan.org reports.

Mazda is recalling almost 112,000 vehicles in Japan. The recall includes Mazda's Atenza sedan, Bongo van and two models that the carmaker builds for Nissan and Mitsubishi for the domestic market. Mitsubishi is recalling 100,165 vehicles in Japan and about 412,000 in global markets. Subaru is recalling 91,151 Imprezas in Japan.
