A report by Symantec Corp. has said that cyber criminals targeted five out of six large firms globally in 2014, reported The Telegraph.
The report said that almost 1 million new malware threats were released online every single day in 2014.
The report ranked the United Kingdom as the second biggest global target for cybercrime for the period.
Nearly two thirds of all targeted attacks hit small and medium-size businesses, said the report.
Phishing attacks increased 8% in 2014, added the report.
