Breckenridge CEO named insurance woman of the year by APIW

Tracey Carragher, CEO of Breckenridge Insurance Group Inc. has been selected as this year's recipient of the APIW Insurance Woman of the Year Award by the Association of Professional Insurance Women, the association said Tuesday.
Ms. Carragher leads Breckenridge's 250 employees and dozen offices nationally and has since founding the company in 2009, the APIW said in a statement.
“APIW is proud to bestow this honor on Tracey Carragher. Her leadership and accomplishments, as well as her commitment to supporting and advancing women, are exceptional examples of the qualities that APIW looks for in the recipient of this highly prestigious honor, ” President Cheryl Vollweiler said in a statement.
Prior to founding Kennesaw, Georgia-based Breckenridge, Ms. Carragher worked for Aon P.L.C., where she grew the wholesale and facultative brokerage divisions, and was CEO of Cambridge Integrated Services Group, a third-party claims management company, according to the statement.
The APIW Insurance Woman of the Year Award, first presented in 1976, recognizes an exceptional woman who has achieved prominence in her profession and has made significant contributions to the insurance industry.
