New CFO for Iowa property/casualty insurer

Property/casualty insurer United Fire Group Inc. has named Dawn M. Jaffray as chief financial officer, effective April 27.
Ms. Jaffray replaces Dianne Lyons, a spokeswoman for United Fire Group said Monday. Ms. Lyons resigned in November.
Based at the firm’s headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ms. Jaffray will report to Randy A. Ramlo, United Fire Group’s president and CEO, the insurer said Monday in a statement.
Most recently, Ms. Jaffray was CFO for Soleil Advisory Group, where she specialized in operational consulting, mergers and acquisitions, investment and strategy.
