Analysts said that low insurance rates are likely to erode insurers' financial strength and earnings power for years to come, reports Reuters.

Interest rates are likely to remain at a low level, Moody's Investors Service Inc. said.

"Insurers' investment returns will continue to fall for many years in most of the world's economies" and "will hurt insurers' profits," the rating agency said.
