Cybercrime doubles in Iran: Official

Ali Niknafs, director of Iranian Center for the Detection and Prevention of Cybercrime, said that cybercrime has doubled in the country over the course of three years, reported Cihan News Agency citing news agency IRNA.

About 91% of the country's cybercrimes are detected by security forces, Mr. Niknafs said.

About 80% of the cybercrime cases involve hacking into bank accounts, added Mr. Niknafs.
