Liberty Holdings likely to close insurance deal in Nigeria by month's end

South Africa-based insurer Liberty Holdings Ltd. has said that it is likely to close an insurance deal in Nigeria by Jan. 31, Moneyweb.co.za reports.

The insurer had earlier said that it was in talks with asset management firms and insurers in the country. "We have an opportunity we hope to conclude at the end of the month," Liberty Holdings chief executive Thabo Dloti said. We are considering both Nigeria and Ghana "as an entry point in to West Africa," said Mr. Dloti.
