BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation, an affiliate of The Institutes, awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships in 2014 to students pursuing careers in risk management and insurance, the foundation said Thursday.

The Griffith Foundation, a Malvern, Pennsylvania-based nonprofit organization that promotes insurance and risk management education, awarded $102,000 to 40 students at 17 undergraduate and graduate programs in the United States, the foundation said in a statement.

Westfield Center, Ohio-based Westfield Insurance Co. and Westfield Agents Association provided seven of the scholarships, while The Griffith Foundation awarded more than $20,000 last year, according to the statement.

The Institutes is the operating name of the Malvern-based Insurance Institute of America and the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
