BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

NTSB seeks improvements in transportation worker safety for 2015

While the holidays may be over, the National Transportation Safety Board has a wish list of safety improvements it would like to see employers make in the New Year.

The NTSB's Most Wanted List for 2015, released Tuesday, includes 10 safety areas that it said companies should strive to improve upon.

Those include improving rail tank car safety for trains carrying flammable freight such as crude oil or ethanol, ending drug and alcohol impairment among on-duty transportation workers, and eliminating distractions -- such as the use of electronic devices -- for transportation operators.

"This list is grounded in the accident investigations by which NTSB learns safety lessons, and in the recommendations that are NTSB's primary safety product," NTSB Acting Chairman Christopher A. Hart said in the statement Tuesday.

Full descriptions of the NTSB's 10 most wanted safety improvements are available on the board's Web site.
