Nigerian Liability Insurance Pool looks to provide coverage in new business areas

Richard Borokini, chairman of Nigerian Liability Insurance Pool, has said in an interview that the organization is eyeing new areas of business to provide third party liability coverage, Nigeria's BusinessDay reported.

Mr. Borokini said the management has been instructed to explore opportunities in the country's oil and gas sector.

Mr. Borokini said the pool recorded an underwriting profit of 166 million Nigerian nairas ($936,583) in 2013 and paid NGN 353 million ($2 million) in claims.
