Jordan: 23 insurers' nine-month profits up 68% year on year

Collective profits reported by 23 insurers in Jordan increased 68% year on year to 21.2 million Jordanian dinars ($30 million), Asia Insurance Review reports citing the Al Ghad newspaper.

Currently, there are 28 insurers permitted to operate in the Jordanian market. All but two of the 23 insurers turned a profit during the period. Arab Orient Insurance Co. topped the list with its profits totaling JOD 3.25 million, up 29% year on year.
