Dr. Teresa Bartlett is senior vice president and medical director with Sedgwick Claims Management Services. She began her business career by joining a large automotive manufacturer and spent 20 years managing large self-insured, multi-state workers compensation programs as well as the WSIB Canadian program. During her career, she has won the Corporate Health Achievement Award from ACOEM for the development and implementation of a best practice clinical model, was named the recipient of Crain’s Detroit Business 2008 Health Care Hero Award for an innovative back pain reduction program, and was featured on NBC local news for development of a large-scale medical preparedness plan. In 2012, she was named one of Business Insurance’s Women to Watch. Dr. Bartlett received her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. She then graduated from the University of Santiago’s Technical School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic. She has held clinical internships at Yale Affiliated Hospitals in Connecticut.


Alfred Bergbauer

Alfred Bergbauer is senior vice president and head of multinational casualty for XL Group P.L.C.’s North American primary casualty business. He also sits on the advisory committee of XL’s Global Program Center of Excellence. Alfred joined XL Group in August 2012 from Marsh USA Inc. where he served as multinational client service leader for the east zone since 2006. He has 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors regarding crisis management, security and global risk management. Prior to joining Hub, Mr. Brown was responsible for international security and crisis management with a multinational retailer and was a senior consultant for International SOS. The firm was acquired by Aon in 2013; its operations continue under Mr. Dempsey’s leadership. Mr. Dempsey represents companies in a diverse range of business and industry. Philip Dunphy

Phil G. Ethan Harrington

Ethan Harrington has been part of H&R Block’s Insurance & Risk Management department since 2004. During his early years at H&R Block, Ethan was responsible for the professional liability program, including policy placement, negotiation, and claims handling. Since 2009, Ethan has been responsible for H&R Block’s corporate risk management and insurance department, including serving as president and director of Companion Insurance Ltd., a Missouri-domiciled captive, and H&R Block Insurance Agency, a fully licensed insurance agency and third-party administrator. David Heppen

Dave Heppen is a managing director at Marsh L.L.C. and the North America leader for Marsh Global Analytics. He joined Marsh in 2012 with more than 20 years of actuarial experience in consulting and within the insurance industry. Prior to joining Marsh, Mr. Heppen spent 12 years with Deloitte Consulting, where he served numerous insurers, reinsurers, state funds, and self-insured companies. He has extensive expertise in enterprise risk management; development of stochastic risk modeling methodologies; capital modeling and financial reporting and IFRS for insurers. Mr. Heppen is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a member of the Academy’s Committee on Enterprise Risk Management.

He is the co-author of a Casualty Actuarial Society prize-winning paper on risk modeling for insurers. Mr. Heppen has a B.A. in mathematics from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Jobe has served in various employee benefits-related roles during his career that range from product development and general management to underwriting and sales. Attracted to new ideas, he was a co-founder of CallStreet L.L.C. This a financial information publishing firm, which focused on providing summaries of quarterly earnings calls of large U.S. corporations to investors and analysts, was acquired by FactSet Data Systems in May 2004. Ms. Vitkauskas’ career spans three decades of leadership roles within the travel and insurance industry. Prior to joining iJET, she served in sales roles at Chartis Accident & Health as well as regional vice president of retail sales at AIG Travel Guard. Ms. Vitkauskas also managed and led operations, sales and marketing initiatives for Carlson Wagonlit Travel Franchisees in the Chicago Market. Ms. Vitkauskas is a member of the executive leadership team at iJET and is based in the Chicago market, but her role is global.

Jody Westby

Jody Westby is CEO of Washington-based Global Cyber Risk L.L.C. and provides consulting services in the areas of privacy, security, cybercrime, and cyber governance. Ms. Westby also serves as Adjunct Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Computer Science, chairs the American Bar Association’s Privacy & Computer Crime Committee and on the ABA President’s Cybersecurity Task Force. The author of several books and articles on privacy, cybercrime and enterprise security, Ms. Westby has expertise in related governance matters, including the responsibilities of boards and senior executives. She previously was a senior managing director at PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. responsible for information security, privacy and critical infrastructure protection issues across the federal government. Ms. Westby also launched an information technology venture capital company for the Central Intelligence Agency and was director of domestic policy for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law School and is a member of the Order of the Coif, American Bar Foundation and Cosmos Club.

Joel Wood is senior vice president of government affairs for The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers, a position he has held since January 1993. The Council represents the top commercial insurance agencies and employee benefits brokerage firms in the United States and around the world. Council members specialize in a wide range of insurance products and risk management services for business, industry, government and the public. Mr. Wood is The Council’s top lobbyist on Capitol Hill and is the chief administrator of the group’s political action committee. In 2002, Wood was named by Business Insurance magazine as one of the insurance industry’s “35 Rising Stars.” In 2006, 2007 and 2008, The Hill newspaper named him as one of the top trade association lobbyists in Washington. In 2001, following the diagnosis of his son James (now 14 years old) with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, he and his wife Dana started the Foundation to Eradicate Duchenne, a 501(c)3 organization which has raised millions of dollars in funding for research into the catastrophic disorder. Additionally, Wood was the driving force behind passage of the Muscular Dystrophy CARE Act of 2001, a bill which has increased funding for MD research by tens of millions of dollars. He sits on the Board of Directors of Children’s Research Institute at Children’s National Medical Center, the nation’s sixth largest pediatric medical research center. Mr. Wood came to Washington to work for Rep. Don Sundquist, R-Tenn., following his election to the House of Representatives in 1982. During his six years as a congressional staffer, he served as Sundquist’s press secretary and legislative director. He is a 1981 graduate from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
