Ukraine: Major oil spill at Cherkasy Oblast after derailment

A major oil spill occurred in Cherkasy Oblast when a train carrying 35 tanks derailed and 11 tanks caught fire, reported Kyiv Post.

Mykola Dudnyk, head of the local city council administration, told 112 Channel that some 25 houses were burnt but no injuries were reported. There is less likelihood of the responsible companies having to pay considerable penalties for the catastrophe.
