Insurers should rethink ways to drive demand for agriculture insurance in Asia: ExpertReprints
David Dror, managing director of the Micro Insurance Academy in India, said insurers need to rethink their approach to agriculture insurance needs, Asia Insurance Review reported.
Mr. Dror said the outcome of the "take it or leave it" approach will be "disastrous."
He said "premiums and density will remain as they are."
Speaking about his experience with smallholder farmers, mainly in South Asia, Mr. Dror said "the western thinking of demand for insurance will not fit in here."
