Croatia: Flood damage estimated in millionsReprints
Mirko Duspara, Mayor of Slavonski Brod in Croatia, said damage in the town from the recent floods is estimated at more than €3.5 million ($4.7 million), Balkan Insight reported.
Minister of Construction and Physical Planning, Anka Mrak-Taritaš, said over 3,000 homes had to be repaired, and estimates damage to housing at more than €52 million ($70.9 million).
Damage to agriculture is estimated at up to €13 million ($17.7 million), Agriculture Minister Tihomir Jakovina said.
A state of catastrophe has been declared for Vukovar County.
