Kyrgyzstan enlists law firm to help develop regulations for insurance

The Kyrgyz government has contracted with the international law firm Simmons & Simmons to develop regulations for Islamic insurance (takaful), Reuters reported.

No details were provided on when the rules would be introduced. Kyrgyzstan's First Vice Prime Minister Tayirbek Sarpashev said the country is looking to expand Islamic finance to attract foreign investment, reports Reuters.
