Qatar sees rise in number of complex cyber crimes

Qatar's Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Hessa Al Jaber, has warned that the country should reinforce its cyber space to protect against a rising number of sophisticated cyber attackers, Doha News reported.

Ms. Al Jaber said the financial services sector was the attackers' preferred industry choice.

She further said new trends in cyber-crime include large-scale identify theft, compromising trade secrets and all-out cyber-warfare, among other things.
