Spain: Compensation for damaged crop in Leon to miss several areasReprints
Continuous winds and rain since the start of 2014 have led to around 7,975 hectares of agricultural land being damaged in Leon, Spain, though only 1,500 hectares will receive compensation, as provided by Agroseguro, an agriculture insurer association, reports Diario de Leon.
The rains have mostly affected corn crops.
Paramo was the most affected region in Leon, with more than 5,000 hectares damaged until Mar. 15.
