China: Regulator probing insurers' investment units for insider trading

Officials from China's insurance regulator have quietly started investigating the investment operations of insurers to look at the operational risks they carry, reports Cnfol.com.

The large-scale probe will focus on detecting insider trading and other such factors and is said to look at activities since 2010.

The regulator also reiterated the importance of proper reporting and documentation by insurers.
