Cambodia: $356 million flood cost less than forecast

The repair bill for rebuilding infrastructure destroyed by the floods that hit Cambodia in 2013 totals $356 million, far below the $500 million in estimated damage, a report by the country's National Committee for Disaster Management shows.

NCDM has now asked regional authorities to be ready for floods that are expected in 2014 and also inform people about safety measures to avoid major damage, The Phnom Penh Post reported.
