Ukraine: Telecommunications system hit by cyber attacks

Ukraine's SBU security service said the country's telecommunications system has been attacked and mobile phones of members of parliament have been interfered with, Reuters reported.

Valentyn Nalivaichenko, head of the security service, said equipment illegally installed in Crimea was used for the attack.

Mr. Nalivaichenko said that at "the entrance to (telecoms firm) Ukrtelecom in Crimea… was installed equipment that blocks" phones, and security services are now seeking to restore security, Reuters reported.
