U.K.: Damage bill from rough weather in Cornwall estimated at $23 million, says official

The cost of recent floods and rough weather in Cornwall, England is estimated at about 14 million ($23 million), Cornwall Council cabinet member Alex Folkes said. The amount is likely to rise further as more harsh weather is predicted, Falmouth Packet reported.

Mr. Folkes said 4 million is for the immediate response to the floods "and 10 million for the long term repair work."
