U.K.: XL insures 2% of law firms, finds Solicitors Regulation Authority

XL Group P.L.C., which held 16% share of the U.K. professional liability insurance market in 2013, is insuring only 2% of law firms this year, reveals data from the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Travelers Cos. Inc. and QBE Insurance Group Ltd. have increased their share of the market, The Law Gazette reported.

In 2014, 26 insurers entered the lawyers professional indemnity market, compared with 22 in 2013.
