Philippines: Infrastructure damage from quake estimated at more than $51 million

Total damage to infrastructure in the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Siquijor and Negros Oriental in the Philippines following a recent 7.2-magnitude earthquake is estimated at more than 2.2 billion Philippine pesos ($51 million).

Roads, flood control facilities and bridges were among the facilities most affected, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported. The death toll from the quake has reached 215, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.
