Four Federation of European Risk Management Associations board members have been elected at the group’s annual general assembly.
At the meeting, held Thursday, Jorge Luzzi and Julia Graham were re-elected to the 12-member board after the end of their previous three-year terms.
Mr. Luzzi, the current president of FERMA, is managing director of Pirelli Insurance & Reinsurance Co., the Ireland- and Switzerland-domiciled captive operations of Milan-based Pirelli S.p.A.
Ms. Graham is chief risk officer of law firm DLA Piper L.L.P. in London.
Anders Esbjörnsson, risk manager for Solna, Sweden-based NCC A.B., was newly elected to the FERMA board.
Edwin V. Meyer, general manager for risk and insurance management for Luxembourg-based steel company ArcelorMitttal Group S.A., also was elected for the first time to the association’s board.
In a statement, FERMA said that Mr. Luzzi has indicated that he does not plan to seek re-election as president of FERMA when his term ends in September. A new president will be chosen then, with the handover will take place during FERMA’s Forum in Masstricht, Netherlands, in October.
The Federation of European Risk Management Associations has called upon the European Parliament to ensure that all insurance buyers are entitled to minimum levels of disclosure about the remuneration earned by their brokers.
