FORT WASHINGTON, Pa.—Lockton Cos. L.L.C. has expanded its health care risk management practice in the Philadelphia area with three executive appointments.
The expansion is part of the insurance brokerage's strategy to grow its health care risk management services, Kansas City, Mo.-based Lockton said in a statement this week.
Michael B. Farley, who focuses on loss forecasting and risk retention analysis for health care industries, joined the firm as vp of quantitative analysis. Previously, he has held positions with Aon Corp. and Alexander & Alexander Services Inc., which Aon acquired in 1997.
Colleen M. Hart and Courtney Mrusko joined the brokerage's Philadelphia health care team as account executives. Previously, Ms. Hart held positions with Aon and Alexander & Alexander. Ms. Mrusko previously held positions with Aon and United American Insurance Co., according to the statement.
The Philadelphia office, which opened in August, is located at 500 Office Center Drive, suite 440, Fort Washington, Pa., 19034-3234.
Lockton's health care risk management practice serves hospitals, health care systems, physician groups, and managed care organizations, and other health care organizations. The practice provides risk management, patient safety, insurance program development, risk financing, and employee benefits consulting, among others.
KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Nine of 15 Kansas City-area employers participating in a yearlong value-based insurance design project saved an average of $194 per employee by focusing on prevention and improving health status, the Kansas City Collaborative said Thursday.
