BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Royce challenges Bachus for House Financial Services post

Reprints

WASHINGTON—Rep. Ed Royce, R.-Calif., says he will seek the chairmanship of the House Financial Services Committee.

His announcement Wednesday sets up a contest with the committee’s top Republican—Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Ala.—who is first in line to succeed Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., as committee chairman as a result of Republicans winning control of the House in Tuesday’s elections.

Rep. Frank is expected to continue leading the committee’s Democrats.

Rep. Royce has been a prominent critic of state insurance regulation and co-sponsored legislation that would allow insurers and producers to choose an optional federal charter.
