BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

NEW YORK—AIU Holdings Ltd. is close to settling on a new name as part of its review of the company’s brands and its efforts to distinguish itself from American International Group Inc.

AIU is undergoing a rebranding that includes a new name for the company, which is expected to be revealed next month, according to sources familiar with the project.

AIU, which comprises the former AIG commercial insurance operations, was transferred to a special-purpose vehicle earlier this year. That move that was the first step in “AIU Holdings having a board of directors, management team, and brand distinct from AIG,” the company said in a statement issued in April.

An AIU spokesperson declined to comment beyond a referring to sections of the April statement noting that the company was considering ways to differentiate itself from AIG, including reconsideration of its brands.

“AIU Holdings has initiated a review of its holding company and subsidiary brands aimed at distinguishing these well-capitalized businesses from AIG,” the statement said.
