Data showed that global catastrophe bond and related insurance-linked securities issuances surpassed $7.2 billion so far this year, Artemis reports. The uncertainty posed by the COVID-19 pandemic could drive more issuance through the rest of the year, as cedents look to capital market sources of reinsurance to complement their traditional programs.
