Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund is suing Toshiba Corp. for around 900 million Japanese yen ($8.6 million) over an accounting scandal at the electronics firm, reported Bloomberg citing The Wall Street Journal.
The pension fund incurred losses on its investments following the scandal. The losses relate to shares bought by the fund's external fund managers in 2009 through a secondary share offering, a spokesman for the fund said.
