BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The International Union of Marine Insurance supports the mandatory adoption of the amendment to SOLAS regulation V1/2 for the verification of the gross mass of packed containers, but expects the amendment to affect the cargo insurance sector in the near term.

Some of the expected issues include un-weighed containers being refused on board, risk exposure due to disturbances in the supply chain and more.

IUMI believes that once the regulation is fully implemented it will make significant contribution towards the safety of ships, seafarers and their cargo, reports Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide.
