A recent report by Allianz S.E. has said that Vietnam has become the world's new piracy hotspot, reported The Loadstar.
Global piracy attacks increased for the first time in five years in 2015 and about 60% of the attacks are taking place in South East Asia waters, said the report. Media reports said the Vietnam Maritime Administration has ordered port authorities across the nation to notify shipowners about increasing crew abductions in regional waters.
