BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AXA and Lloyd's insurer Chaucer form specialty joint venture in Africa

AXA S.A. has partnered with Lloyd's of London insurer Chaucer P.L.C. to form a new specialty insurance joint venture in Africa, reported Reuters.

The new venture will focus on specialty insurance market in the continent covering a range of political, energy and infrastructure risk.

"We have an ambition for our turnover to rise rapidly," said Denis Duverne, deputy CEO of AXA.

Insurers are turning towards emerging markets for growth amid low interest rates in the Unites States and the euro zone.
