Global law firm DLA Piper L.L.P. has said in a report that Asian insurers are looking for mergers and acquisitions opportunities beyond Asia, reported CFO Innovation Asia.

The report said that the number of outbound M&A deals by Asian insurers totaled $20 billion in the first nine months of 2015. They "are looking at insurance as a global market and the trend is going to continue," said a DLA Piper official.
