Emil Issavi, chief underwriting officer of Aspen Reinsurance, the reinsurance arm of Bermuda-based Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., said that the reinsurance industry continues to be under pressure from low prices, The Royal Gazette reported.
"The industry continues to suffer from the low interest rate environment and excess capital," said Mr. Issavi.
"The pricing challenges created by this excess capital continued during Jan. 1 renewals, although the impact differed by line of business and geography," said Mr. Issavi.
