AXA to acquire Liberty Mutual Insurance's Polish subsidiary

French insurer AXA S.A. has said that it would acquire U.S.-based Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.'s Polish property/casualty unit, Liberty Ubezpieczenia, for €21 million ($23 million) plus net asset value outstanding, RTT News reported.

The deal would enable AXA to strengthen its presence in Poland, said the French insurer.
