U.K.-based insurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C. will open its first office in India in next month, The Times of India reports.
The news follows JLT's recent purchase of a stake in India's Independent Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. JLT has hired Sanjay Radhakrishnan, a former senior vice-president at Bharti AXA General Insurance Co. Ltd., to head its business in the country. It will initially provide services in the cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi.
