Canada: Cargo train derails, spills fuel into Moisie River

A cargo train travelling from Sept-Iles to Labrador City in Canada ran into a landslide causing a derailment, with one of its locomotives submerged in the Moisie River, Montreal Gazette reported.

The derailment resulted in a diesel spill from at least one of the locomotives into the river. The locomotives carry around 15,000 liters of the fuel. "All railway traffic has been suspended until further notice as we investigate the cause of the incident," the train company owner said.
