Hub promotes Chapman to national leadership role

Hub International Ltd. on Monday named longtime executive Michael Chapman national director of commercial markets for the brokerage.
Charleston, South Carolina-based Mr. Chapman, who joined Hub in 1998, will retain his current position as president of Hub’s South region.
In his new role, Mr. Chapman’s responsibilities will include claims practices, product development, insurer management, and mergers and acquisitions related to commercial middle-market business in Hub’s specialty industries and emerging sectors, a company statement said.
The commercial middle-market sector makes up about 45% of Hub’s revenue, the statement said.
