Axis Insurance adds several U.S. cyber and tech underwriters

Axis Insurance, the specialty insurance unit of Axis Capital Holdings Ltd., has added three lead underwriters to its U.S. cyber and technology team, Pembroke, Bermuda-based Axis Capital said in a statement Wednesday.
Ashley Sales, southeast regional underwriting manager, will be based in Alpharetta, Georgia. She was most recently assistant regional underwriting manager for cyber and technology at American International Group Inc., focused on the Southeast region.
Jonah Papesh, west coast regional underwriting manager, will be based in San Francisco. He was most recently a cyber and technology senior underwriter for Axa XL, part of Axa SA.
Eric Allen, underwriting manager, will be based in New York. He was most recently vice president and team lead for cyber and technology underwriting at Chubb Ltd.
Mr. Allen will work across all Axis Insurance U.S. cyber and technology products, with a focus on distribution relationships, and reports to David Drogin, vice president, eastern regional underwriting manager.
Ms. Sales and Mr. Papesh report to Eric Seyfried, head of cyber U.S. open markets.
Axis Insurance also added three senior underwriters to its U.S. cyber and technology team. Nina Pappas and Matthew Jeske will be based in Chicago. Melissa Steinmetz will be based in Los Angeles.
