BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Mark Gallagher

Risk Placement Services Inc. named Mark Gallagher as the leader of its national transportation practice, replacing Jimmy Proffitt, who has retired.

Mr. Gallagher joined the Rolling Meadows, Illinois-based managing general agent unit of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. last year as regional transportation manager.

Previously, he was vice president of underwriting for Truckers Insurance Associates Inc., a West Des Moines, Iowa-based MGA.

Mr. Gallagher will be based in West Des Moines.
