Gallagher buys California brokerage

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has bought San Luis Obispo, California-based brokerage McConnell, Manit & Trout Insurance Services LLC, the brokerage announced Monday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
MMT is a property/casualty brokerage with a focus on companies operating in the building materials, energy, waste, construction and transportation industries, Gallagher said in a statement. MMT has additional offices in Fresno, California; Reno, Nevada; and Boise, Idaho, the statement said.
The brokerage has more than two dozen employees, a Gallagher spokeswoman said.
“Rick McConnell, Mike Manit, Doug Trout and their associates will continue to operate from their current locations under the direction of Scott Firestone, head of Gallagher's Southwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operations,” the statement said.
