BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insurance ad ranks last of all Super Bowl commercials

New York Life

New York Life got no love from Thrillist.com’s ranking of all 47 Super Bowl commercials.

The ad, an emotional montage that features descriptions of the four ancient Greek words for love, came in last with its display of hugs, kisses, cuddles and getting children ready for school.

“If an ad opens with ‘the ancient Greeks had four words … ,’ it might be time for a bathroom break,” wrote entertainment news website Thrillist this week. “This New York Life Insurance commercial uses plenty of gauzy, Terrence Malick-lite visuals to celebrate different types of love and … the virtue of selling people life insurance? Calm down, NYLI.”

Meanwhile, Google’s tear-jerking, warm-and-fuzzy “Loretta” commercial, which portrays an elderly widower trying not to forget his wife, came in at number 22. Number one was a Snickers ad. The spot featured a giant candy bar being dropped into a massive hole in the earth amid people singing, with one actor chiming in: “It’s working.”

Love? Chocolate? Hey, whatever works.
