Gallagher Bassett names CEO for UK

Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., the risk management services subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., said Tuesday that Simon Pemberton will assume the position of CEO of Gallagher Bassett U.K. as of April 1.
Mr. Pemberton, who will be based in in Tamworth, England, is succeeding current U.K. Managing Director Nick Bonser, who is retiring, Gallagher Basset said in statement. Mr. Bonser will stay on until June to help with the transition, according to the statement.
Mr. Pemberton, who joined the company in 2000, is currently director of sales and marketing.
“Simon has been a strong leader within the U.K. business for a long time,” Jon Winsbury, executive vice president of Gallagher Bassett International, said in the statement. “He has worked his way up through the ranks in both operational and sales functions, so he has a very strong understanding of all facets of our business.”
