BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Atlanta-based employee benefits broker Digital Insurance Inc. on Thursday said it has acquired Compass Consulting Group Inc. and its affiliate, Prospective Risk Management.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jacksonville, Florida-based Compass Consulting and PRM are providers of employee benefits consulting and health care risk management services, Digital said in a statement.

Compass Consulting and PRM employees are now Digital Insurance employees but will continue to work closely with their current clients, according to a Compass Consulting Group spokeswoman.

Compass Consulting and PRM are now wholly owned subsidiaries of Digital Insurance and will continue to operate under their respective names, she said.

“Compass' consultants are experts in the design and management of benefits solutions for an array of businesses including large employers, private equity arrangements, associations, and in particular, many of the largest PEOs (Professional Employers Organizations) in the country,” Adam Bruckman, president and CEO of Digital Insurance, said in the statement. “In addition, they offer actuarial and underwriting services through their PRM affiliate, which delivers risk management expertise using proprietary predictive modeling and emerging conditions tools.”

Digital Insurance Inc. is the 42nd-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
