Amwins appoints brokerage executives as presidents

Amwins Group Inc. said Tuesday it has named two of its executives, Sam Baig and Jeff McNatt, presidents of its Amwins Brokerage unit, effective immediately.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said James Drinkwater, who has served as president of the brokerage division since 2008, and was also named president of Amwins Group in 2018, will directly focus on his roles as president of Amwins and executive chair of Amwins Global Risks.
Mr. Baig was executive vice president and leader of Amwins Brokerage’s Georgia branches, while Mr. McNatt was previously executive vice president and leader of Amwins Brokerage’s Florida branches.
As presidents, Mr. Baig and Mr. McNatt will be responsible for the design and execution of the overall brokerage strategy, while overseeing more than 400 specialty broker teams and various risk and industry practice groups, the statement said. They will also focus on recruiting, training and broker development.
