Walmart Inc. is shutting down its network of health clinics due to unprofitability, marking a significant setback in its health care expansion efforts, Healthcare Dive reports. Launched in 2019, Walmart Health grew to 51 centers in five states, offering affordable, fixed-cost medical services. However, operational challenges, escalating costs, and a difficult reimbursement environment led to the decision to close the clinics.
