Mississippi lawmakers are set to vote on a proposal to expand Medicaid coverage to tens of thousands more people, with a work requirement that may not receive federal approval, the Associated Press report. The plan mandates new Medicaid recipients be employed at least 100 hours a month in a job that doesn't provide private health insurance, or fit into other categories such as being a full-time student or parent of a child under six.
