American International Group Inc. has named Catherine Duffy as country manager of Bermuda, the insurer said in a statement Monday.
Ms. Duffy, who will join AIG at a date to be determined, will head AIG’s insurance operations and strategy in Bermuda. Ms. Duffy joins AIG from XL Catlin, where she was most recently senior vice president and underwriting manager for XL Bermuda Ltd.
Based in Pembroke, she will report to Lex Baugh, chief executive officer of North America general insurance, the statement said, adding she will also serve as AIG’s chief liaison with the Bermuda Monetary Authority and other local stakeholders.
“Catherine’s deep knowledge of Bermuda will be of great value as we position AIG for growth in this important insurance market,” Mr. Baugh said in the statement.
American International Group Inc. on Wednesday said it has named Thomas Lillelund as CEO of AIG Europe S.A., one of the company’s new legal entities to handle its European business post-Brexit.
