BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AIG names chief information officer

American International Group Inc. on Tuesday said it has named John P. Repko as executive vice president and chief information officer.

Mr. Repko previously served as global chief information officer at Johnson Controls International P.L.C. He will assume his position Sept. 4 in New York, reporting to AIG President and CEO Brian Duperreault, AIG said in a statement. Mr. Repko will be responsible for AIG’s global technology strategy, overseeing core shared infrastructure, technology partnerships and process engineering efforts.

Mr. Repko succeeds Martha Gallo, who had held the position since March 2017. Ms. Gallo “is leaving AIG to pursue other interests,” AIG said in the statement. A spokeswoman for AIG declined to comment beyond what was contained in the announcement.

Mr. Duperreault, who rejoined AIG last May after more than 20 years running other insurance-sector companies, has instituted a turnaround plan for the struggling insurer that includes a revamp of its senior management.
